Texas Political Lobby Update: Gov. Perry Addresses WATEC Israel 2013
On a recent trip to Israel, Governor Perry spoke in Tel Aviv at the 2013 WATEC, (Waste and Wastewater Management Conference), conference about the similarities in struggles of water loss internationally. He spoke about how Texas and Israel have historically, and especially presently, experienced extreme drought and issues in water management. He went over upcoming projects and ideas being implemented to help spread ideas in how to combat these issues.
“In Texas, much like here in Israel, we embrace the role that research will play in determining our quality of life in the future, and in ensuring our economic strength for decades to come. To that end, we’ve recently passed a measure that, with voter approval in a few weeks, will provide $2 billion to assist with funding water projects across our state for the next 50 years.”
