They are also 2 of only 4 current lobbyists listed in the “top twenty-five most influential people in Texas politics. Partner Lara Keel was selected as the top female hired gun lobbyist in 2011 by Capitol Inside.

Mike Toomey served three terms as a member of the Texas House. He is the only person ever to serve as Chief of Staff for two different Texas Governers, working for Bill Clements in 1989 to 1990, and Rick Perry from 2002 to 2004. Bill Messer was formerly in the top ten legislators as chosen by Texas Monthly and was House Calendars Chairman. Lara Keel is the former lobbyist for The Texas Association of Business and Chambers of Commerce, which is the state’s largest business group.
