Texas Political Lobbyist News: House Concurrent Resolution 16

House Concurrent Resolution No. 16 officially designates July 18th of 2013 as “Nelson Mandela International Day” in the state of Texas. The day had annually been recognized as “Nelson Mandela Day”, but 2013 is a special year because it is also Mr. Mandela’s 95th birthday. Nelson Mandela has lived an extraordinary life, and is commemorated for his efforts of the pursuit of justice and equality for all people. Mr. Mandela truly made a huge impact on the world, and is now recognized officially as an international symbol of all these admirable traits and accomplishments.
